Fabric selection
Choose lightweight woven shells, bonded softshells or a suitable coated or laminated barrier. A DWR surface treatment is water-repellent rather than proof of a waterproof garment. Agree relevant water, wind and moisture-vapor requirements with named test methods.
Design & construction
Review shoulder movement over a polo or midlayer, sleeves, cuffs, hem, pockets and zippers. For waterproof briefs, confirm seam-sealing scope, tape compatibility and the treatment of openings. Fabric reports and garment-level checks cover different parts of approval.
Labels & packing
Specify woven labels, care labels, hangtags and packaging. Confirm artwork, materials, quantities and carton instructions; custom trims may have separate minimums.
Approval & production
Approve the physical sample and final specification before bulk production. Confirm quantity by style, color and size, the schedule and shipping arrangements.
